Samantha (Sam) Smith-Monaghan (she/her)

Psychology, Honours Thesis

Sam is in her final year of her undergrad in Psychology completing an honours thesis. Her area of research is on how parents use social media to share about their children (sharenting). Sam is the president of the Guelph Mature Student Association, as well as a volunteer with Hospice Wellington. In her spare time she loves reading fiction, doing yoga, watching baseball, and playing board games with her family.

Karla Dimaculangan (she/her)

Psychology, Independent Research Project

Karla is in her fourth year of her undergraduate degree, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Neuroscience, and she is completing an independent research project about how autobiographical memory functions in conversations. Karla works on campus as a Dance Instructor at the Athletic Centre, and as a volunteer with the Student Support Network. In her spare time, she loves going camping, discovering new music, and playing card games with friends.

Laura Calugaru (she/her)

Psychology, Independent Research Project

Laura is in her fourth year of her undergraduate degree, majoring in Psychology and minoring in neuroscience. She hopes to pursue graduate studies in cognitive neuroscience and is currently working on an independent research project examining the social functions of autobiographical memory in naturalistic conversations. Outside of her RA work, Laura enjoys going geocaching with friends, learning new languages, and watching movies.
